The conference MOBILITY OF THE FUTURE will be the main supporting programme at the EUROTRANS fair. Just like the fair, it is a three-day event.  The conference will cover current topics in the field of transport; its first part will be attended by the leading Czech experts on transport as members of the discussion forum EURO REGIONAL South Moravian Region.

The EURO REGIONAL discussion will form the initial part of the conference and will open the fair. The discussants will deal with the current transport issues and they will also react to the paper presented by Mr. Karel Pospíšil, the Transport Research Centre manager, which will precede the discussion.

Seminar „Electric buses for the city“
The seminar dedicated to „Electric buses for the city“ will be organised under the sponsorship of the Association of Transport Companies on 8th October 2013 between 1 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at Hall G2 as a supporting programme during the EUROTRANS fair. At the seminar, the participants will be informed about the current technologies for electric buses, operating experience of transporters with the electric buses and about financial and social-economic evaluation of electric buses and issues related to their financing. The seminar will include an overview of the current results of the study on  „E-mobility in public transport systems“, practical examples presented by transporters and consultants related to electric buses,  presentation of professionals engaged in this field and panel discussion on the above topics.

The seminar will offer papers presented by the representatives of the Transport Research Centre of the City of Brno, Ostrava Public Transport Company, Association for the Infrastructure Development, EKOVA ELECTRIC, ABB, ŠKODA ELECTRIC, SIEMENS, Cegelec and EVC Group. 9th October will be dedicated to garage equipment at the EUROTRANS fair
The programme of the second conference day respects the composition of the fair exhibitors, i.e. the programme focused on garage equipment. In the morning,  the results of competitions organised every year by the Association of car and garage equipment importers and manufacturers in  cooperation with Autoservis akademie – 2013 car service centre, 2013 car service man, 2013 tyre service centre and 2013 car mechanic training school - will be officially announced. In the afternoon, the visitors can attend lectures summarised under the title „Logistic solutions for service centres“ , which will mainly be beneficial for service centre managers. Wednesday afternoon will also be dedicated to the first part of the Logistic conference EULOG 2013, which will continue on Thursday afternoon and will offer papers concerning automatic storehouses and combined transport and logistic parks in the CR.

Transport possibilities in Brno and in the South Moravian Region
The last day of the Mobility of the Future conference is organised by the Regional Chamber of Commerce Brno and the Transport Research Centre. The topic of the day is transport in the South Moravian Region. In this part of the conference, the transport infrastructure development plan of the South Moravian Region until 2020, outcomes of the Electromobility ČEZ project and many other things will be presented.

On 8th – 9th October, the Brno Exhibition Centre will also host the BRNOSAFETY 2013 conference focusing on road transport safety.
