The new concept of tourism trade fairs have proven to be successful - Preliminary Final Report
The traditional trade fairs GO and REGIONTOUR presented themselves to the visitors in a new form with extended content – as a complete presentation of the options in leisure time activities including exploring regional gastronomy. At the time of the Internet and being flooded with information organizers bet on the mediation of authentic experiences. Visitors got to know remote places with all their senses and could try different ways of active holidays.
The Trade Fairs Have Been Inaugurated by Important Guests
The symbolic ribbon opening the traditional Travel Trade Fairs was cut by eight personalities - top representatives of the state administration, self-government and religious institutions. In their speeches, they in particular talked about the topic of the 1150th anniversary of the Christian mission of Cyril and Methodius.
GO and REGIONTOUR 2013 with many innovations
Tourism fairs at the Brno Exhibition Centre significantly extend their programme. Next year’s edition, which will be held from 17 to 20 January 2013, will include a Festival of regional specialities and regional foods, a comprehensive presentation of Czech ski resorts or an extensive exhibition of "Holidays on Water" with boats and charters. The " bicycle village" also expands and support continues for religious and golf tourism. The opportunity to reach 35 000 visitors is used not only by regions and districts, but also by municipalities and their associations, travel agencies and individual service providers in tourism.
