Brief characteristics of the exhibit

Air traffic control system ERDIS is, developed and produced by company ELDIS Pardubice, s.r.o., represents modular and flexible solution and configuration for military and as well as civilian application within the area of Air Traffic Management and Air Defense. It uses a distributed architecture and is able to integrate all the required input data. The ERDIS system supports a flexible use of the airspace while achieving an excellent level of airspace safety within Single European Sky scenarios by both civilian and military uses. The ERDIS system modularity allows building any type of configuration represented by Tower positions, APP positions, En-route position and exchange of different data types, including the support Technical & Maintenance positions. ERDIS system provides highly flexible interconnection to collaborating civilian & military centers supporting the Data for generating and processing the specific military mission plans. ERDIS system has been already implemented - one of the most important application is at Pápa Air Force Base in Hungary, where NATO Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) is located and this capability is represented by the fleet of C-17 Globemaster aircrafts and the Kecekemét Air Base, which is part of the NATO NATINEADS Integrated Air Defense System.
