An interactive full-flight simulator with a motion base used for testing Human-Machine interfaces (CAST). The simulator workplace can be reconfigured as required, but it is mainly used for testing navigation procedures in aerospace and for other vehicles. The workplace is open for use by students collaborating with companies.
A personal biotelemetric system for monitoring rescue workers, firemen and soldiers. The system consists of a set of smart sensors (for heart rate, body temperature, acceleration, humidity, etc.), and calculates e.g. energy expenditure and body position. The system also generates individual alarms.
A mobile robotic platform for urban search-and-rescue missions, which is being developed within the TRADR project. Its mechanical structure allows it to navigate through rough terrain while collecting measurements from various sensors. Its robotic arm can also collect samples for subsequent chemical analysis.
