IDET, the most important export promoting event for the Czech defence and security industry will be held on 19 - 21May 2015, together with the International Fair of Fire Fighting Equipment and Services PYROS, the International Fair of Security Technology and Services ISET and the International Fair of Personal Protection, Safety and Working Environment INTERPROTEC.

IDET also includes a rich supporting specialized programme, where specialists in defence technology discuss current topics.

The opening conference, SECURITY TRENDS, will be held on the first day of the fair, 19 May from 14:00. It will be a half-day diplomatic-professional conference, which will bring together experts and representatives of the public sphere, security and armed forces and provide an opportunity for discussion of issues of the future of global security and defence and of potential business opportunities.

Another important event, the CATE international conference (Community-Army-Technology-Environment) is organized by the University of Defence. It is a set of international conferences, which were attended by nearly a thousand specialists from Europe and overseas two years ago. This will include, for example, a two-day conference " Distance Learning, Simulation and Communication - DLSC 2015 which will focus on the exchange of information and experience in the field of distance education and e-learning in training of military professionals and other target groups, the use of computer modelling and simulation, especially in the processes of command and control, or on current and future communication systems, their development and use.

An International Conference on Military Technology, ICMT, is also in preparation. Its aim is to provide an opportunity for the presentation of results and interesting solutions of scientific research, development and design in the field of military technology. An important factor for exhibitors concerns not only trade visitors but also foreign military and ministerial delegations, they are scheduled from more than seventy countries around the world this year.

Exhibitors’ news

Half a year before the event, several dozen exhibitors from eleven countries have already registered. The Brno Exhibition Centre will feature not only traditional exhibitors, but also new companies, such as from China or the USA. Visitors can also look forward to interesting exhibits. VOP CZ will for example present an automated robotic ground system TAROS V2, or a globally unique system to control vehicle chassis, KERBEROS 3D VISION. A newly developed range of high power connectors will be presented by the company TENEO 3000, s.r.o.  T-CZ, a.s. will also show  their novelty – a multi-position monitoring ADS-B system and a multi-3D radar.

LOM Praha will also be exhibiting; the company will celebrate one hundred years since its foundation. Glomex Military Supplies will introduce two new items, CAMMO PAINT camouflage colours and an additional thermal COTM module for low profile night vision goggles AN / PVS-21. ELDIS Pardubice will present not only their verified radars RL-2000 and MSSR-1, but also their latest product - a semiconductor landing radar PAR-E. The NATO Support Agency will also have their stand at IDET. The form of presentation of the Army of the Czech Republic is currently still under negotiation, we will bring more details in the next article.

Companies can enter their new exhibits in the Golden IDET competition. A jury of experts will select the best ones that will be presented at the opening ceremony on the first day of the fair.

ISET 2015 in Brno - focused on cyber security

The ISET fair will be held along with IDET – it will feature not only security technology and services, police and anti-terrorist equipment and services, but also cyber security. The importance of cyber security in the development of information technology is the main topic of this edition.
