General Dynamics European Land Systems
GDELS is the European business unit of General Dynamics Corporation specialized on production of heavy armored wheeled and tracked vehicles, amphibious bridge and ferry systems, as well as repair, maintenance and servicing of military vehicles “made in Europe.”
Versatile and powerful tracked armored land platform ASCOD builds on proven technology and best practices from previous programs; Spanish PIZARRO, Austrian ULAN or British SV and responds to current and future operational threats. Almost 1,000 vehicles are deployed or currently in-series produced within NATO allies.
Our BRIDGE Portfolio offers comprehensive range of mobile bridge systems with capacities up to 100 tons. Our M3 is the world’s most modern and rapidly adaptable amphibious bridge and ferry system. The IRB (Improved Ribbon Bridge) enables wheeled, tracked heavily armored vehicles, and light tactical vehicles to cross the water, as a floating bridge or as a multi-component ferry.
We are also the leader in R & D of light, medium, tactical and armored wheeled vehicles weighing from 8 to 33 tons. Our portfolio includes PIRANHA, PANDUR, EAGLE and DURO vehicles.

Are you regular exhibitors at the IDET/PYROS/ISET trade fairs? What has been your experience of taking part in the fairs in the past?
We were present at last IDET in 2017 and several times before that in times of Pandur project for the Czech Army. Our experience with IDET is positive in regard to the Czech armament projects.
Do you meet the right kind of customers in Brno?
If we understand IDET as the exhibition specialized mainly on the Czech and in lesser degree other Central European armed forces, at this event we definitely meet right customers.
What interesting items from your company’s range can we see at the fair? What new products are you presenting in Brno?
As for now we plan to put on static display inside the exhibition hall two heavy tracked vehicles and one wheeled vehicle.
Who is your range of products primarily aimed at?
The Czech Ministry of Defense at the 1st place with the possible outreach to other V4 countries.
What do you expect from this year’s fairs?
The exclusive opportunity to show our capabilities and technologies for the customers in the Czech Republic and the Central Europe.
