International Defence and Security Technologies Fair
IDET boasts large international presence
The IDET International Defence and Security Technologies Fair confirms its importance also with the large presence of foreign exhibitors. The main partner of the fair this year is Lockheed Martin, which has returned to the fair from the USA after a few years as one of the leading brands in the industry. The Finnish manufacturer of armoured vehicles PATRIA also returned after some years of absence. For the first time, the Embraer aircraft manufacturer arrived from Brazil. There is also the largest Israeli aircraft manufacturer IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries. Special attention is paid to Swedish-Czech cooperation in the defence industry. Swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist, Swedish Ambassador to the Czech Republic Viktoria Li and Swedish Chairman of the Defence and Security Industry Association Göran Lennmarker visited the fair. At the Czech-Swedish Innovation Seminar, examples of Czech-Swedish cooperation were presented that support the Czech Republic's innovation strategy for 2019 to 2030. The NATO Innovation Challenge, which is organized and promoted by the NATO Innovation Hub in Norfolk, USA, along with DefSec Innovation Hub in the Czech Republic, was also an attractive part of the fair. Foreign delegations from 20 countries, such as France, India, Norway, Poland, Austria and Slovakia, also attended the security fairs, as well as delegations from NATO and the European Defence Agency.
