NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days
NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are regarded as the biggest security show in Europe and the most-visited two-day event in the Czech Republic. It is a unique exhibition of the widest possible range of means which the Czech Republic, its allies and partners possess in providing security - not only armies, but also law enforcement, and rescue units present their equipment and training, as well as cooperation with their foreign colleagues. The event also serves as a major venue for explaining crucial security topics. To maximize its effect, it is strictly non-commercial with free admission.
The record two-day number of visitors reached 225,000 (in 2011 and 2014) and record number of participating countries is 17 (in 2012). Czech and foreign military and government officials, politicians, ambassadors, experts, and other distinguished guests attend the event too and use this occasion to hold official meetings, conferences, and forums.

Aliante
The Aliante project is a unique international competition for high school students with the purpose of raising the participants’ awareness and understanding of international security issues, including the transatlantic cooperation among NATO members. It serves as a very effective public diplomacy tool, facilitating communication on security issues with young people. The competition is unique by its concept and challenges the participants’ knowledge, brainwork, physical skills, but the most important feature potential winners need to posses is the ability to cooperate. For those who succeed, a well-deserved reward awaits in the form of an exceptional travel experience to one country, where winners have an opportunity to visit places usually restricted from the general public – military bases, ministries, or other security-related venues and institutions.
