International Defence and Security Technologies Fair
IDET and PYROS/ISET 2013 launched
The official opening was attended by Defence Minister Vlastimil Picek and other distinguished guests from home and abroad and took place in token of the twenty-year anniversary of IDET and especially of the Army of the Czech Republic.
Legion 100 or the Legions in full regalia at IDET
In 2014 we will commemorate the centennial of Czechoslovak Legions, who contributed to the formation of our country and their merits are rather neglected today. On this occasion, Czechoslovak Legions community in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, the Military History Institute, Brno Exhibition Centre and other partners prepared a large project, Legion 100.
Czech Army celebrates 20 years of existence
An extensive exposition of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic are a traditional landmark of IDET, located in Hall P and the outdoor area in front of it. You can see the latest technology and equipment with which our military operates both at home and abroad, and possibilities of its use in the Integrated Rescue System are also introduced.
Defence and security industry presents itself to the public
The gates of two traditional and popular shows opened at the Brno Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 22 May – the 12th International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technologies IDET and 16th International Exhibition of Fire and Security Technology and Services PYROS / ISET. A total of 399 exhibiting companies from 25 countries are represented and visitors can see their offer their until Friday, 24 May. For the very first time, even IDET will be open for the public the whole time with the most advanced military technology, which is otherwise not so easily accessible to its fans. A military aircraft formation will fly over the exhibition grounds and the Castle Guard unit will present themselves among others.
Attractive novelties
The IDET display will be occupying the largest Hall P just like two years ago, and its total extent will be similar. The composition of exhibitors and the announced new products make it evident that the high quality level remains. Visitors can enjoy the many unique exhibits which they could hardly take a closer look at elsewhere than at the fair.
A prestigious expert meeting
Every edition of IDET always includes the supporting programme, where defence technology specialists discuss current topics. A key event will again consist of the three-day CATE international conference (Community-Army-Technology-Environment) organized by the University of Defence in Brno.
