FT Technologies, in cooperation with the Brno Exhibition Centre, today organized an international conference for commanders and directors of municipal and city police forces, mayors and local administration representatives, partner organizations and representatives of the Integrated Rescue System. The interest of more than 170 participants, especially from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, confirmed the importance of the meeting focusing on three main topics: migration of persons, cyber security and current legislation.

"Municipal police forces are not centrally controlled as the Police of the Czech Republic, and especially officers in smaller towns and municipalities have no place to meet and gather new information, so the conference is interesting," says Daniel Bednařík, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FT Technologies, who organise the event for the second time . "The aim is to create a platform for meetings of representatives of the municipal police and to offer them the opportunity to discuss topics that are currently most important. Cyber security, whether in connection with attacks, data protection, virus spreading, or other cyber-pitfalls - is one big topic. The second one is migration, although we do not really feel its effects in the Czech Republic. This is precisely because the authorities, such as the police, the Foreign Police, or the police force in the form of municipal police, are doing what they should. A common trend means a lot of changes to the law or completely new laws, which is another topic that could be discussed for hours," adds Daniel Bednařík, who is already seriously considering the third year of the conference.

"We are in the position of a technology leader in information systems that run the processes of the municipal police units, thus we are expected to endeavour in such a type of activity. It is important to say that there was excellent synergy with the Brno Exhibition Centre and the ongoing security fairs. Participants of our conference have the opportunity to visit IDET, PYROS and ISET, to get acquainted with technical issues, to meet technology suppliers and partners they meet in the street when ensuring security, such as the police, firemen and so on," says Pavel Boháč, PR Manager of the company that has been operating since 2004 and specializes in the development and operation of portal information systems.

The idea of organizing the conference was also supported by the Czech Police presidium, which was involved not only in the implementation of the programme itself, also the first deputy of the police president, Brigadier General Martin Vondrášek, came to greet the conference participants. In his speech on behalf of the police president he highlighted the very idea of holding a conference and thanked the representatives of the municipal and local police force for their daily deployment and cooperation with the Czech Police.
