The partner of IDET is traditionally the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (DSIA). "As usual, the Association has a joint stand at IDET with its partner Slovak association ZBOP, and this year we will also welcome a partner association from Ukraine. I am incredibly pleased that, thanks to DSIA, several start-up and innovative Czech companies will be exhibiting at the fair for the second time in the AOBP Start-up Innovation Pavilion. This year there will be six start-ups. As co-organisers of the expo, we will also coordinate the participation of official foreign delegations at the stands of Czech companies and you can also look forward to a joint expert seminar organised by DSIA together with the Czech Optical Cluster," said Jiří Hynek, President and CEO of the Defence and Security Industry Association.
The exposition of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic will offer a number of interesting exhibits
The Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic will present an exhibition thematically focused on the 30th anniversary of the founding of the army this year. Visitors will be able to see the difference between older and newer equipment and technology, giving them a better idea of how the army has changed over the past thirty years. Among the exhibits on display will be the BRDM-2 anti-aircraft vehicle, which was used during the Gulf War, and its modern successor, the IVECO LOV CBRN. Visitors will also see the STRELA S2-M and modern RBS-70NG anti-aircraft complexes, the R-5M Bečva command-and-staff vehicle on a BVP-1 chassis and, opposite it, the TITUS wheeled armoured command-and-staff vehicle. The outdoor display will feature one of the newest and most watched additions to the army's equipment, the Leopard 2A4 main battle tank, which will be placed next to the T-72 M1 tank. Among the new acquisitions, the STARKOM mobile jammer on a Tatra chassis or the MADR 3D mobile air-defence radar will also be on display. Technological advances will also be shown in the handguns display, where the latest models of BREN II assault rifles, including accessories, and the original Czechoslovak SA vz. 58 will be displayed side by side. The indoor exhibition will also include display cases showing the development of uniforms and accessories of the Czech army over the last 30 years.
CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP and TATRA TRUCKS - the largest display of all exhibiting companies
The companies of the CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP (CSG) holding and the TATRA TRUCKS automotive company, which is closely associated with it, are traditional exhibitors at IDET. As in previous years, their joint display in Hall P and on the adjacent outdoor area will be the largest of all exhibiting companies. In addition to TATRA TRUCKS, TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE, EXCALIBUR ARMY, RETIA, ELDIS, ČESKÁ LETECKÁ SERVISNÍ, MSM GROUP, KARBOX and EXCALIBUR INTERNATIONAL will present their products, services and technological innovations. At the concurrent PYROS 2023, Tatra will unveil the new generation of the Tatra Force model range in a world premiere. Another Kopřivnice-based company, TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE, will present an armoured TITUS vehicle in the MKPP version designed for the Czech army.
