The ninth edition of the International Dental Fair & Conference InDent 2015 took place between 14th – 16th May 2015 for the first time in its history at the Brno Exhibition Centre.  Starting from this year, this fair will be organised by BVV Trade Fairs Brno.  The fair lasted from Thursday to Saturday, the conference took place on Friday and Saturday.

The InDent 2015 fair was held in Congress Hall E,  which provides  one of the most modern exhibition space not only at this exhibition centre.  A total of 119 firms and 182 brands presented themselves to the visitors. The fair welcomed close to 1,500 visitors including conference attendants. The exhibitors presented a whole spectrum of the entire dental sector showcasing a number of exhibits at the exhibition stands.

The greatest attractions of the fair included a demo surgery presented during specialist workshops.   The workshops were attended by the fair visitors as well as by the conference attendants. Workshops that were in greatest demand included lectures given by MUDr. et MUDr. Gabriela Pavlíková dedicated to bone piezosurgery and abutment joint indication – implants or the workshop by MUDr. Petr Kořínek talking about endodontics. 

The specialised international conference offered interesting topics in three sections: dental surgeon, dental technician, dental hygienist and nurse.  Each conference participant received 10 credits.  Lectures were given by a total of 32 accomplished speakers presenting a total of 28 expert papers.  The most attended lectures were given by Jochen Peters dealing with aesthetics, function and  occlusion, MUDr. Ladislav Gregor concerning minimal invasive philosophy in aesthetic treatment of front teeth „Progressive treatment concept“, doc. MUDr. Eva Gojíšová concerning the care for future mums and children and Jakub Hošek who spoke about tooth colour reproduction.  The conference was attended by more than 200 people most of them being dental surgeons and technicians (88%). The attendants as well as lecturers spoke highly of the expert standard of the conference as well as the organisation and infrastructure.

The InDent 2015 fair and conference included InDent Party held in Hall G2 and adjacent outdoor spaces.  The main performer was Tonya Graves and her band, with other entertainers being dulcimer music by Grajcar and DJ Libor Velek.

The planned dates of the next InDent International Dental Fair & Conference is 26th  – 28th May  2016.

We believe that the next year’s edition of the InDent fair will be even more successful than the one that has just finished.  The preparation has started.
