200312-SALIMA Trade Fairs moved to November 2020
Due to the current ban on holding mass events, including the organization of trade fairs, and the generally uncertain “force majeure” situation, the management of BVV Trade Fairs Brno decided to postpone the SALIMA food fairs to a later date, specifically 19 to 22 November 2020.
BVV Trade Fairs Brno is trying to make decisions concerning all participating exhibitors, visitors and expo partners with maximum responsibility. The aim of the measure is to eliminate economic risks, meaning the costs incurred by the organizers and exhibitors, the risk of having to cancel the event immediately before the scheduled date, the risk of bad reputation for the expo and, in the first place, any health risk for the participants.
The decision has been made on the basis of talks with key exhibitors and recommendations by the Regional Sanitation Authority in Brno, as we cannot guarantee the revocation of the ban and anticipate measures to be taken in the coming months.
"A November date for SALIMA has been considered several times as it seems more suitable for food companies in terms of contracting than the spring date. If the autumn date proves successful, SALIMA will remain to be held in that period in the future as well", said Jiří Kuliš, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno.
BVV sales team will contact all exhibitors in the next few days to inform them about further steps and conditions of settlement of obligations associated with their participation in the expo.
BVV Trade Fairs Brno believes that together we will be able to prepare a standard event on a later date. Thank you for your understanding!
