200312-SALIMA Trade Fairs moved to November 2020

Due to the current ban on holding mass events, including the organization of trade fairs, and the generally uncertain “force majeure” situation, the management of BVV Trade Fairs Brno decided to postpone the SALIMA food fairs to a later date, specifically 19 to 22 November 2020.

Trade Fairs TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASA are moved, will be held in the spring of 2021

The company Veletrhy Brno, in agreement with partnership industry associations, decided to reschedule agricultural equipment trade fair exhibitions to 2021. All the interested parties agreed that reached solution would be the most appropriate response to eliminate the economic risk associated with the possible ban on large public events. The new term of the trade fair exhibition will be 11 – 15 April 2021.

With respect to recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, BVV Trade Fairs Brno (Veletrhy Brno, a.s.) prepares all planned trade fairs and other events according to its 2020 exhibition calendar. The Czech health authorities have strengthened surveillance measurements in response to the international spread of the coronavirus disease. At the moment there has been no confirmed case of this virus in the Czech Republic and no extraordinary measures have been imposed by the responsible institutions to restrict or prohibit events involving the presence of larger number of participants. Some trade fair events in Germany have been postponed to a later date due to the strong participation of Asian, especially Chinese exhibitors who are currently not being granted Schengen entry visa.

Robots, the Internet of Things, virtual simulation systems and control by means of artificial intelligence – this year's MSV confirmed the massive advent of digital technology into industrial practice. All covered areas of the exhibition grounds were sold out and the whole Brno lived with the largest Central European trade show. The exhibits of 1,662 exhibiting companies from 30 countries were seen by more than 81 thousand visitors in five days. The companies were satisfied with both the number and quality of visitors and their interest in the exhibited products.

Follow new trends at our fashion fairs

The 54th STYL and KABO fairs remained the only major contracting event of the Czech clothing and footwear industry. Almost half of the exhibitors were direct manufacturers and the share of foreign participants increased to almost 40 percent. Retailers got acquainted with new brands and collections designed not only for the coming autumn/winter season, but also for the next spring and summer. This time, the supporting programme focused on increasing the knowledge and skills of sales staff. Four and a half thousand trade visitors viewed the presentation of 233 exhibiting companies and more than 500 fashion brands in three days.

15th IDET was the largest ever

The IDET International Defence and Security Technologies Fair ranks among the most important shows held in NATO countries. At the same time, it is unique for its connection, concurrently with PYROS and ISET fairs, to a comprehensive presentation of the Integrated Rescue System. This year's security fairs presented exhibits of a total of 534 companies from 35 countries and documented the growing strength of the Czech defence industry. Over the first three days 26 thousand visitors passed through the gates of the Exhibition Centre; on Saturday, there was an event for the general public called Safety Day - Rescuers for Children, which welcomed about 10000 visitors.

Show of livestock, technologies for animal production and gamekeeping attracted nearly forty thousand visitors

Almost one thousand animals from the best Czech breeders, a broad range of technologies for animal production and offer of supplies for hunting, gamekeeping and outdoor activities. All of this was on display at the Brno Exhibition Centre from last Sunday and together with a rich conference, educational and awareness programme attracted a lot of interest from experts and the public. After two years, a concept combining the National Show of Livestock, the ANIMAL TECH fair and the National Gamekeeping Show once again reaffirmed its attractiveness. According to a preliminary estimate, this unique show was visited by more than 37,000 paying visitors over its duration of four days.

The jubilee 60th MSV was Czechoslovak and very successful

The Brno Exhibition Centre was alive with industry and the most advanced technologies for five days. Exhibition stands of 1651 companies from 32 countries occupied an area of more than 45,000 square meters. All indoor areas of the exhibition centre have been sold out several months in advance and the interest of visitors was extremely high: more than 80 000 of them visited the trade fair.

100RIES at the Exhibition Centre presents a hundred stories about industrial legends, a born-again Masaryk and offers a trip into augmented reality

The 60th jubilee of the International Engineering Trade Fair which takes place this year includes a unique exhibition entitled 100RIES (100 in Czech is sto, hence stoRIES). This will present visitors with a hundred stories of Czechoslovakian industrial legends of the past century. One of the greatest of these stories is that of the statue of T.G. Masaryk which adorned the rotunda of today’s Pavilion A in 1928, during the Exhibition Centre’s opening ceremony. During the engineering fair visitors will see a robot create a replica of this statue right before their very eyes.
