International Sales Exhibition of Minerals, Fossils, Jewels and Natural Products

Almost 100 exhibitors registered for the autumn 33rd MINERALS BRNO exhibition to date

 

This autumn’s MINERALS BRNO exhibition is paid great attention to by exhibitors and is being successfully filled up two months before its start. Currently, almost 100 exhibitors have registered, mainly from the Czech Republic, as well as from Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Poland, India, Italy and the USA.

The supporting programme of the autumn edition of MINERALS BRNO will focus on an exhibition dedicated to the mineralogical riches of the former Soviet countries, and will be complemented by examples of jewels designed by Lada Vosejpková.

The exhibition dedicated to precious stones and minerals of the former Soviet countries will offer a mineralogical overview of the European part of the former Soviet Union and the former Caucasian republics, former Central Asia Soviet republics and the Asian part of Russia –east of the Ural Mountains.

There will be close to 900 precious stones, precious metals, rocks and minerals on display, including, for example, a comprehensive collection of various crystals and staurolite compound crystals from Keyv in the Kola peninsula, top zircons – ilmenites from  Vavenbed in Lovozero, representative samples of raw sulphur from the region of Vodinskoe in the Volga region, the visitors will also get an idea of minerals from Chibin and Lovozero and  Dara-i-Pioz in Tajikistan. There will also be gems and minerals on display coming from the Murunskii Massif occurring along with charoites, from Kerch on the Crimea peninsula there will be minerals locked in fossil mussels with the greatest attraction being limonitised crayfish.  The visitors will also see raw mumio from a cave in the Tasan region. There will also be a variety of and examples of crystals from the Perekatnaya locality in the Aldan Massif in Yakutia – there will be various shapes of crystals and compound crystals. There will also be zeolites from the Nizhnyaya Tunguska River. 

The autumn edition of the MINERALS BRNO 2015 exhibition will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre on the ground floor of Hall B at the weekend of 14th – 15th November 2015.
