MOTOSALON will not take place this year

Motorcycle lovers will have to do without the popular MOTOSALON trade fair this spring. To hold an event, which gets regularly attend by up to up to 60,000 motorcycle enthusiasts every March, is under the current restrictions virtually impossible.

Due to the extension of the state of emergency and the valid anti-epidemic measures (PES), which cannot be applied to the event with such high attendance, the representatives of the organizing Association of Car Importers (SDA) and the exhibition company Trade Fairs Brno decided to cancel this year's MOTOSALON in Prague.

We will not make the spring opening of the season

The MOTOSALON trade fair traditionally opens the motorcycle season. It is held regularly in early spring and brings welcome inspiration to those interested in buying a motorcycle or equipment. Organizing the fair in the middle of the season would not bring the expected economic effect to the exhibitors. In the current epidemic situation, it is not possible to responsibly approach the preparation and holding of an event with such high attendance as MOTOSALON.

"Motosalon is the top presentation of motorcycles and accessories in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, the event is incompatible with the current matrix of anti-epidemic measures. In an emergency situation without the prospect of easing the measures at the beginning of March, it is not possible to prepare and organize an event of the character of Motosalon. Preparation would mean wasted investments and wasted energy of both the exhibitors and us as organizers. Unfortunately, the sales cycle does not allow the event to be postponed to a later date, "said Jiří Kuliš, CEO of Trade Fairs Brno.

We can meet later

Exhibitors and organizers are aware of the importance of personal meetings, without which trade cannot work. Motorcycle fans see meetings at trade fairs as a social event where the motorcycling community meets. The Association of Car Importers and Trade Fairs Brno are therefore jointly considering alternative formats that would enable to introduce the offer of motorcycle novelties and accessories in a later period and to a lesser extent.

"We are really sorry that there will be no Motosalon. But we are talking about organizing at least a smaller business day, if the situation allows us to do so later. Alternatively, we are also discussing the possibility of presenting motorcycles in other trade fair projects, "said Josef Pokorný, SDA Secretary.
