Brief characteristics of the exhibit
The modular system for wheel flange lubrication in rail traffic allows an adaptive control of lubrication process based on the instantaneous conditions and requirements. Using GPS data, automatically generated maps, information on operating conditions and control algorithms the system continuously determines the optimal interval of lubricant application. The adaptive lubrication system deployment results in reduction in friction, wear and noise and in particular the reduction of lubricant consumption and excessive environment contamination.
