Brief characteristics of the exhibit
Compact four-axis workstation from IPG Photonics is a high productivity device for laser processing of small and mid-size machine parts and components. The workstation is always equipped with a specific combination of IPG laser source and processing optics to fit the particular application perfectly. At MSV 2018, IPG Photonics shows a QCW laser configuration which offers high pulse energy and high peak power, enabling welding, cutting and drilling of a wide variety of materials including steel, aluminum and their alloys. Stiffness and large thermal mass of granite structure prevent changes in beam delivery system alignment over time. Thanks to this, the device offers unique thermal and mechanical stability while keeping both high processing speed and very compact dimensions and flexibility.
