Brief characteristics of the exhibit
Heavy-duty precision strain sensor for forming and heavy industry which allows for measurements in the vicinity of the machine's active parts. It is used to detect the deformation of big fixtures, forces in separate press operations and total forging press force. The design differs from the conventional force sensors in order to reduce the number of sensors required for complete strain measurements. The sensor can be easily mounted and replaced, which can be done by non-qualified personnel after proper training. Unique sensor design was developed by 4dot and is subject to patent no. 308886. Aside technological monitoring and force measurements of forming presses, the sensor also targets environments such as machining, mining, and railway industry.
