International Engineering Fair
MSV International Engineering Fair will show the way to a smart and efficient industry
Innovative technological novelties, the topic of energy efficiency and digital solutions for the industry of the future. All this will be offered by the 63rd MSV International Engineering Fair, which will take place at the Brno Exhibition Center from 4 to 7 October. Specialized IMT, PLASTEX, WELDING, FOND-EX and PROFINTECH fairs will be held concurrently with it.
"All branches of engineering will be broadly showcased, featuring machining and forming as key topics. Exhibitors' interest in participation showed that the Engineering Fair is an indispensable business platform and a prominent place for the presentation of new technologies," said Tomáš Moravec, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno. A total of 1,256 companies from forty-one countries will present their range of products to visitors. "The number of exhibitors increased by 20 percent compared to last year. We are opening as many as eight exhibition halls, which means three more than last time," précised Michalis Busios, director of the MSV International Engineering Fair.
"The MSV International Engineering Fair in Brno is one of the most important European fairs in its field, and I am glad that its exhibitors are returning. We will launch it traditionally with a general meeting of the Union of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic. We want to remind the Prime Minister and his cabinet how difficult the current situation is for companies and that they should not forget them in these challenging times, because industry has always fed this country and will continue to do so," said Jaroslav Hanák, President of the Union of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic.
Digitization as a trend
Digital transformation of the industrial environment is one of the priority topics of the expo. Solutions enabling digitization of production will be displayed by exhibitors at their stands across all the exhibition halls. The topic will be comprehensively presented as part of the Digital Factory 2.0 exposition, which will occupy a record-breaking area in Hall F this year. People may learn about digital technologies and exhibits from more than forty companies. Siemens has become the expo‘s Golden Partner – it will present solutions for flexible, durable and energy-saving production. The Team Finland platform with six Finnish innovative companies in the field of digitization will also participate in the project. "This is the first official collective participation of Finland at this expo," added Busios. The National Centre for Industry 4.0 is also preparing a presentation of interesting exhibits and solutions together with the companies T-Mobile, Česká spořitelna and the RICAIP Research and Innovation centre for Advanced Industrial Production. A 5G industrial network will be installed directly in their display and will be used by various robotic applications. As an attraction there will be, for example, a robot that serves draft beer to visitors. The Digital Factory 2.0 will also feature a digital stage with discussions on latest industry topics. There will also be a conference called Biomorphic Industry, which takes place on Thursday 6 October, its main topic being the formulation of the vision of Czech industry using digital technologies.
