International Stainless Steel Fair
Hall V full up of international exhibitors. The STAINLESS fair has begun
Every two years, Brno becomes the centre of global stainless steel trade. The 10th International STAINLESS Trade Fair will be held here from 15 to 16 May and will once again welcome selected clients of a very specialized business. 124 exhibitors from 24 countries will meet with customers who will arrive to Brno from 24 countries in Europe and Asia. STAINLESS, organized in cooperation with a German partner – the Focus Rostfrei publishing house – is unique in its internationality: more than 80% of exhibitors and 40% of visitors come from abroad.
It is a highly specialized international meeting of manufacturers, subcontractors, traders, processors and suppliers of stainless steel equipment. “STAINLESS is an ideal presentation and communication platform especially for those interested in the Czech, Slovak, Austrian and Polish markets. The Brno Exhibition Centre offers a unique opportunity to establish and consolidate contacts with potential cooperation partners and customers,” said Michalis Busios, Project Director.
This year, STAINLESS will be held for the tenth time. The initial editions were held in Ostrava, but in 2009 the ever expanding trade fair moved to larger premises, specifically Hall B of the Brno Exhibition Centre. But even this hall is not large enough for exhibitors’ interest in presenting – this year’s STAINLESS is held in the modern Hall V for the third time. In addition to traditional exhibitors from Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, India and Poland, there are also new companies from Spain and the UK. The most significant businesses include ACERINOX, Aperam, India Steel Works, Italinox, Marcegaglia, Maxim Tubes, Stappert and more.
Exhibitors from the stainless steel industry, as well as companies presenting stainless steel metallurgical products, are traditionally the most represented at the fair, together with stainless steel machines, equipment, treatment and processing equipment and stainless steel products.
The STAINLESS fair is mainly attended by suppliers of materials and products for further processing, and thus there are not as many exhibits. Also, due to the large dimensions of products, there are usually only small samples or small exhibits on display. Nevertheless, some exhibitors still bring novelties in their portfolio. Damstahl will exhibit seamless and welded stainless steel pipes that are designed for use e.g. in steel production, engineering, shipbuilding, factory building or offshore wind farms. The company programme responds to market demands and offers large and affordable supplies – such as pipes with special requirements for surface roughness, or steel tubes of different qualities and surfaces. In order to provide customers with a consistent quality of products, Damstahl only works with manufacturers who are able to meet the demanding certification and authorization requirements.
The German company BUTTING will offer welded tubes at STAINLESS 2019; they usually have around five thousand tons of different types, material quality and quality criteria. This company’s portfolio includes production of fixed length products, additional quality control, special bevelling or individual marking. A great benefit for customers lies in individual packaging, which more than anything saves costs.
More than two thousand professionals from 45 countries visited the fair in 2017. Participants of the previous edition rated the event very positively. They emphasized the quality of both domestic and foreign contacts with potential customers and the importance of the fair as a meeting point with representatives of various stainless steel companies. For Western European exhibitors, STAINLESS in Brno is a gateway to Central and Eastern Europe.
