This event belongs to the three largest of its kind in Europe and attending it is a good opportunity not only for surveying innovations in agricultural and forestry technology, but also for meetings with experts, colleagues and all those who belong to the community of farmers, foresters and hunters. The first TechAgro was held at the Brno Exhibition Centre 20 years ago and this year’s edition will be a more than worthy celebration of this anniversary. In parallel with the TechAgro agricultural fair there is also SILVA REGINA Forestry and Hunting Fair, BIOMASS fair of renewable energy sources in agriculture and forestry and ANIMAL VETEX, a veterinary fair.
Exhibitors have applied to all of the categories and come from 39 countries. Regarding the scope of the exhibition area, this year’s TechAgro will surpass the record of 2012 with more than 83,000 square meters occupied. Agricultural machinery takes up the entire area of the Brno Exhibition Centre except Hall H and adjacent outdoor areas with livestock exhibitions and Hall Z and its outdoor space dedicated to forestry technology, hunters and production and processing of biomass. Even those areas where visitors used to watch the accompanying programme in the past years have also been sold. The exhibition area will present all manufacturers and distributors of agricultural equipment operating in Europe - such as John Deere, the local Zetor, New Holland, Case, Kuhn; other Czech manufacturers of agricultural equipment and machinery for tillage include for example FARMET or ZDT Nové Veselí. The exhibits can be counted in the thousands, companies announced both complete novelties as well as well-tried and tested machines.
The fairs will be launched with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture Marian Jurečka in the Rotunda of Hall A at 10:00 and the accompanying programme will be also fully up and running at that time. The Brno room in Hall A will feature a round table of the Eurasian Economic Commission Russia - Kazakhstan - Belarus - Czech Republic at 3 p.m. The assembly of the Young Agrarians Association of the Czech Republic will follow at 4 p.m.
SILVA REGINA will be opened on stage in Hall Z at 13:30. The forestry part of the fair offers visitors mainly logging machinery and a rich accompanying programme - Sunday will include a seminar on modern trends in the use of wood in construction. Hunters will have a real treat in visiting the Hall Z, where in addition to the many exhibits from the hunting sector - such as trophies in the exhibition The Game of Eurasia - they can look forward to a sales exhibition, where one can buy hunting clothes, weapons, ammunition, optics and other products related to hunting and outdoor activities. The popular Hall Z also contains all the interesting displays and exhibitions, such as Forestry Education, Get to Know Our Wood, Cinema on the First Balcony, A Testimony of Maps and much more. Hungry and thirsty visitors can enjoy a hunting restaurant. Sunday is also the time when special events are launched and will be available to visitors for the duration of the fair - construction of a hunting platform or wood craft.
The BIOMASS fair is also in close relation to agriculture and forestry issues, its main focus is the processing of biomass exploitable in power generation. In the vicinity of the Hall Z, visitors will not only see static exhibits, but also practical examples of machines - chippers, shredders and machinery for loading bulk material. Demonstrations will take place every day at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00.
