International Fair of Agricultural Machinery

Sat navs and precision farming at the TECHAGRO 2018 trade fair

TECHAGRO will feature, for example, some novelties from the Topcon satellite navigation portfolio of the company FONS s.r.o. "Small farmers in particular will be pleased by the introduction of a new model in the basic range of sat navs – the X23 screen, apart from which, of course, all our satellite navigation models will be available for viewing," says Vladimír Rozmahel from FONS. "Furthermore, we will also present a unit to be fitted in sprayers – our Topcon Apollo, which allows any machine to be converted to a fully ISOBUS compatible solution. We will use simulators to present all the features of our products to visitors. GPS equipment for sprayers (section control, N-sensor for variable fertilization, and arm height control), for seed drills and combine harvesters (including a yield monitor) will be on display. A no less important part of our stand will be a presentation of news in the field of telematics as well as data transfer between individual machines in the field. The top of our presentation will be an outdoor area in front of the Vida Science Centre, where you can take a  ride by tractor equipped with a TOPCON sat nav. Hence, if you're still hesitating which navigation to choose, such a test ride can give you a hint in many ways!", he adds.

Another novelty will be presented by Kleffmann Group – their unique My Data Plant online service for precision farming of the 21st century. "By determining the amount of fertilizer dose according to actual needs at a given growth, My Data Plant helps growers optimize their costs and comply with all standards and limits. By visualising the crop development in clear charts, it helps them plan the optimum harvest time. Getting rid of unnecessary waste of the fertilizer also helps nature by reducing the environmental burden," explains Tomáš Driml. "Due to its high potential for use, the novelty has been of great interest to growers since its first launching at Agritechnica 2017 in Hannover, Germany. The service is suitable for a wide range of growers, irrespective of the size of their farms or used tractors."

The trade fair will also introduce the company AG info, s.r.o., which has been dealing in agricultural software development for as long as 25 years. Their software is operated by more than 2,000 clients, mostly large agricultural companies. Other exhibiting companies will be, for example, Leading Farmers CZ, a. s., providing a broad range of services and consultancy, or AGRI-PRECISION s.r.o., which is engaged in satellite navigation and automation of agricultural machines and monitoring their operation.
