This time next year, the preparation for the 14th edition of the International Fair for Wood and Furniture Industry WOOD-TEC, traditionally taking place after two years between 20th  – 23rd October 2015 at the Brno exhibition centre will reach a peak.

Throughout its existence, this specialised fair has gone through a number of changes mainly in relation to the changes in the field of wood-processing and furniture-making industries. It has become an event taking place once in two years instead of the original one-year periodicity, it  is now at the forefront of leading trade fairs in this field and it has gained a position of a key trade fair  in the field of wood-processing in Central Europe. The high standard of proficiency and prestige of the fair is documented and confirmed by the support of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers, EUMABOIS, whose members consider this fair as one of the most important fairs in the field of wood-processing and furniture-making. WOOD-TEC was taking place at the time of the greatest economic boom but also at the time of the financial crisis, during economic slum and slow business recovery. The fair promoters have always made an effort to accommodate the requirements of the firms and companies and have always offered such conditions that maximised the benefits of the fair at any time and met their targets and expectations. Professional visitors have always been provided with specialist and current information meeting a professional standard, high quality presentation of machinery, tools, equipment and materials in the field of wood-processing and furniture-making, news, trends and innovation in this branch of industry.

Next year will be no exception and the WOOD-TEC fair business team is already preparing a number of new features and interesting options offered to the exhibitors as well as visitors.

The first great new feature to be introduced at next year‘s fair edition, is WOOD-TEC ARENA. This special demo site will offer a number of demo events, presentations, programmes and   special zones.  The exhibitors can use the meeting point or the press centre and organise press conferences. WOOD-TEC ARENA will also be available to the manufactures of hand tools uses by trades people every day. Exhibitors will be able to demonstrate their products in operation right in front of the professional visitors and journalists, for example in the form of workshops, classic demo events or contests. Professional visitors will be given a chance to test the goods right on the spot, compare them with other products and order or buy them. WOOD-TEC ARENA will also include a specialist supporting programme which will also undergo a number of changes and it will highlight those topics that the professional public is currently interested in most. Thus, the visitors can attend specialist and professional presentations, lectures, seminars and conferences focusing on current topics in the field, get information on financial grants and assistance offered by various funds (cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade).

During the fair, the TOP TRADE FAIR EXHIBIT – INNOVATION competition will take place for the first time.  Detailed rules and terms and conditions of the competition are under way and current information will be posted on the www.wood-tec.cz website.

Another new feature will be the highlighted topic of  next year‘s edition– Alternative use of wood-processing machinery–  processing of plastic and aluminium materials. Companies and firms engaged in this field will be able to present their machines right on site. This topic will also be presented to the professional visitors and journalists interested in and dealing with this topic.

Undoubtedly, next edition of the International Fair for Wood and Furniture Industry WOOD-TEC WOOD-TEC 2015 will again have a lot to offer to experts and professionals.
