WOOD-TEC 2017 will show the way to increase efficiency of timber processing and furniture manufacturing
The 15th WOOD-TEC International Fair for Wood Processing and Furniture Industry will be held at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 31 October to 3 November 2017. The participation of exhibitors – especially in the field of machinery – clearly reaffirms that this fair is the most important meeting point for experts in timber processing and furniture manufacturing industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. WOOD-TEC is located in Halls A2 (components for furniture manufacturing) and V (machinery). Presentation of machinery is excellent without exaggeration this year, there are more than 200 brands in total, and almost none of those represented on the Czech and Slovak markets will be missing. Exhibitors have also announced news displayed at this year's LIGNA fair.
Automation at WOOD-TEC fair
The main theme of this year's Wood-tec is automation, which is a still more frequent solution to the shortage of workforce. Automation makes it possible to reduce demand for labour and in it can replace human workforce altogether in a number of ways. In the engineering part of the fair, visitors will see examples of specific automatic devices that help accelerate work and make it more efficient, saving manpower at the same time.
Great acclaim of the WOOD-TEC Award competition
On the eighteenth of November, the acceptance of entries for the WOOD-TEC Award exhibit competition was closed. A very pleasant surprise for the organizers was the interest of the exhibitors in this competition: a total of 34 entries were made in both categories, the larger part of the exhibits being registered in the category of Machinery, equipment, tools and accessories.

WOOD-TEC, the International Fair for Wood Processing and Furniture Industry, is not only about big machines. At the 15th edition of the event, exhibitors will present hand tools that are no less important. Almost twenty exhibitors have them in their assortment and visitors can look forward to a lot of news.
