Farmers', breeders' and hunters' festival

The ANIMAL TECH International Fair for Animal Production, the National Show of Livestock and the National Gamekeeping Show will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre From 22 to 16 April. The extra programme features national championships of beef and dairy cattle. As a novelty, the National Championship of Czech Spotted Cattle will be held in Brno.

A total of 200 companies will present themselves at the exhibition grounds. ANIMAL TECH and the National Show of Livestock will be located in Halls P and F and on the adjacent open areas. "Majority of companies are from the feed industry and agricultural, transport and handling equipment. Certainly, we cannot miss out exhibitors from the field of agricultural buildings, breeding services and other supplies for breeders and farmers – for example, electric fencing, stabling and the like," comments project director Petr Maliňák on the preparations at the expo. Demonstration sites in Hall P will host national championships and competitive cattle shows and a sheep, goat and pig programme. During the fair, there will also be an international meeting of Charolais breeders entitled "World Charolais Technical Congress", and on Wednesday, a joint auction of breeding heifers and embryos of cattle, held by breeders' associations, will take place in Hall P.
