The 63rd season of the MSV International Engineering Fair, which will take place in Brno from 4 to 7 October 2022, will offer companies the opportunity to present innovative industrial technologies and establish new business relationships. The MSV International Engineering Fair is the most important industrial trade fair in Central Europe. Every year, companies from dozens of countries present themselves at MSV and the share of foreign exhibitors regularly exceeds fifty percent. This year's edition will be no exception. The partner of the fair, which is the French region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, has already been confirmed.

62nd MSV International Engineering Fair showed where industry has moved over the past two years

After last year's break due to the pandemic, the Brno Exhibition Centre once again hosted the largest Central European fair of industrial technologies. MSV 2021 took place at an unusual November period and to a limited extent but maintained its quality and once again demonstrated the most advanced technologies and phenomena that are changing industrial practices – intelligent robotics, Internet of Things, 3D printing, corporate data systems and management by means of artificial intelligence. In the five days of the fair, stands of 1,016 exhibiting companies from 35 countries were viewed by more than 35 thousand visitors.

STOL Cruiser aircraft combines short take-offs and standard cruising speed

The Czech Technical University together with Direct Fly, s.r.o., will offer STOL Cruiser, a new type of ultralight aircraft suitable for takeoffs and landings at shorter distances. The aircraft has a new profile to minimize air resistance in cruising mode and at the same time enhanced upward lift mechanization for short landings. Its production is also innovative – it uses a so-called matchhole.

The future of aviation fuels will depend on oil recycling

Ecological reduction of the carbon footprint and achieving global sustainability in the aviation industry – that is exactly what Czech Technical University and GE Aviation Czech started cooperating on five years ago. Together they are testing the use of SAF, a special synthetic fuel that could replace traditional fossil fuels in the future. Michal Valášek, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), and Milan Šlapák, CEO of GE Aviation Czech, signed a declaration on further cooperation at the International Engineering Fair today.
