Brief characteristics of the exhibit
The exhibition presents large-scale robotic 3D printing of plastic and recycled materials. Significant reduction of the amount of support material is reached by using a 6-axis robotic arm that orients the print head in the desired direction. Developed 3D printheads enable component manufacturing by strategies that are almost independent of the shape and orientation of the 3D printing platform. For example, it is possible to print on a vertical wall or on an already produced object.
