Breakthrough quality control technology

X-rays are already used today for random quality controls. Our main differentiator is that we scan every item, on the production floor and at normal production speeds. Thanks to the zero defect strategy, this type of quality control is particularly interesting for companies in the automotive, medical and manufacturing industries, since the complexity of the parts manufactured in these sectors requires a thorough quality control of each object.

With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), the CAD data of the part is analyzed to first define the most "informative" perspectives of the product, paying particular attention to the "zones of interest" (areas of the product are essential for error-free operation). The 3D quality control of the workpiece is AI-supported on the basis of a limited number of X-ray images (typically 15 to 30 images). To record the images, the workpiece is aligned and X-rayed fully automatically during operation. This process is completed within the existing production cycle of a workpiece. Both rotationally symmetrical workpieces such as electrical and mechanical actuators or sensors and asymmetrical products such as complex injection molded parts can be inspected and checked. At the end of the test, there is a digital fingerprint for each individual workpiece.
