Interesting bits from the National Gamekeeping Show
On the
occasion of the centenary of the Czech-Moravian Hunting Union, an exhibition of
unique trophies will be installed in Hall G1. Among the exhibits on display,
the trophy of a deer from 1730 should be highlighted; its was hunted by
Eleonore Schwarzenberg, but was evaluated only in 1937 in Berlin as the
strongest trophy in the world.
Tomáš Krivjanský authored a book named Poľovnícke strelectvo a Sokolnictví (Hunting Shooting and Falconry). The author's official book autographing will take place on Sunday 23 April on the upper concourse in Hall G1. Mr Krivjanský will be personally present at the stand throughout the exhibition and will write a personal dedication to everyone who buys his book.
The National Gamekeeping Show 2023 gives you and option to try out 3D archery. It is an interesting discipline where the shooter tries to hit a life-size animal dummy. This experience is offered to visitors in the open area Z1 from Saturday to Wednesday.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Křtiny Forest School Establishment, a book Ke kořenům (To the Roots) by Ester Dobiášová was published. The book will be on sale at the National Gamekeeping Show 2023. Frozen packages of venison will also be available for purchase.
The MYLORD coach, which was the most popular carriage of all time, will be on display in Hall G1. It has surpassed its time with its elegance, comfortable ride with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and events.
The European Deer Calling Championships will take place in Hall G2 on Saturday. Around 150 champions are going to compete to become the European number one.
