This year, the food fairs also featured the premieres of SALIMA Technology fair and the Festival of Flavours appealing to all lovers of good food and drink.
At SALIMA they will be cooking black potatoes and marinated carp
This year’s SALIMA International Food Fair starting 27 February will be enjoyed by all food lovers and present countless outstanding food products – from delectable coffees and fragrant cheeses to crunchy bread and pastry products. Whoever wants to tickle their taste buds would do well to visit the gastronomy show Gastrofest. Top chefs will be cooking in front of audiences and you’ll straight away get to taste the finished results.
Bakery products contests
In cooperation with the Union of Bakers and Confectioners of the Czech Republic, the Baker of the Year 2018 - Junior Competition will take place during the food fairs along with the 2018 Attractive Product Competition. The visitors will see young baker talents in action. The general partner of the competition is Albert. The competition will take place over the first two days of the fair and the remaining days will offer the Bakery Centre where the visitors can try to shape their own bakery products.
A taste of aromas from around the world in one place
Culinary specialties from every corner of the world – this concisely describes Exhibition Hall A. At SALIMA will be represented every area of gastronomy – suppliers of meat products, food ingredients, dairy products, confectionery, teas and coffees, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will all be on show. Visitors can taste and purchase everything.
SALIMA supplemented by the MBK and INTECO fairs
Integral to the food calendar are the MBK and INTECO trade fairs. The first aims to present the quality and importance of the bakery and confectionary sector. Exhibiting here will be e.g. the companies Jarospol, Kornfeil, J4, TOPOS and TenArt. Part of the fair will be a so-called “Job Forum”, whose general partner is the company Albert.
Technology Hall
The trend over the last few food fairs has been to separate food technology away from the traditional presentations of food and drinks. This year will be the first time, however, that technological innovations will have their very own trade fair - SALIMA Technology. Visitors will find it in Hall V, together with the MBK and INTECO trade fairs.
Festival of Tastes in Hall C
This year's new feature is the Festival of Tastes, which will take place in Hall C from 1 to 3 March. The main part of it is a festival of microbreweries, which will be attended by 50 Czech and Moravian beer producers.
Hall V will also host the MBK and INTECO fairs
Food fairs offer a complete overview of all related industries – not to forget, for example, bakery, confectionery, or equipment for restaurants and retail. The first above mentioned is dedicated to by the MBK fair. Companies such as Jarospol, Kornfeil, J4, TOPOS and TenArt will be presented.
