International Fair of Agricultural Machinery
GRAND PRIX TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA, BIOMASS 2018
A record-breaking number of 91 exhibits fought this year for the GRAND PRIX Awards of the Techagro, Biomass and Silva Regina fairs. An eighteen-member jury, headed by its chairman Jiří Mašek, the Dean of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague, eventually selected 17 of them. Prizes and plaques were handed over at the ceremonial evening together with the Minister of Agriculture Jiří Milek, and with Jiří Kuliš, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the company Trade Fairs Brno.
TECHAGRO – the biggest agricultural fair in Central Europe
The next edition of the TECHAGRO International Fair of Agricultural Technology will be held at the Brno Exhibition Centre (Czech Republic) from 8 to 12 April 2018. At the same time, the SILVA REGINA International Forestry and Hunting Fair and BIOMASS Trade Fair for Renewable Sources of Energy in Agriculture and Forestry will be held concurrently. TECHAGRO is one of Europe's largest agricultural fairs; the Brno Exhibition Centre has been sold out this year as well. The 2018 season dedicates more space to plant growing, while animal breeding is focused on by the ANIMAL TECH fair, which takes place at the Brno Exhibition Centre in odd years.
XXVI Assembly of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic had its meeting at the Brno Exhibition Centre
In Rotunda of Hall A, over 150 delegates from the district and regional chambers met to evaluate the work of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic and the development of Czech agriculture in the past year and to discuss current challenges, including the reform of the EU Common Agricultural Policy after 2020.
TECHAGRO 2018 - new hoers, rollers and precision seeding machines
The TECHAGRO 2018 International Fair of Agricultural Technology in Brno will feature a number of novelties in the field of soil cultivation machinery. This trade fair, focusing primarily on plant production, will host several premieres to make it easier for larger businesses and smaller farmers to cultivate soil.
Historical machinery at the TECHAGRO fair
At the TECHAGRO 2018 fair in Hall K (modular hall), you can take a trip to the past. The display of the company AGRI MACHINES will feature a retro café with historical farming machinery.
Techagro will feature a beekeeping exhibition as well as a mead competition
Professional lectures or beekeeping tools and equipment from exhibitors from the Czech Republic and abroad await visitors to the beekeeping exhibition and the beekeeping supplies fair. The exhibition is part of the TECHAGRO trade fair held on 8 to 12April 2018.
Municipal equipment at the Brno agricultural and forestry fairs
Apart from forestry and agricultural equipment, also machines suitable for the maintenance of public areas and other technologies for the public sector and municipalities will be shown to visitors at the TECHAGRO, SILVA REGINA and BIOMASS 2018 trade fairs.
René Castro from the Food and Agriculture Organization to appear at Tuesday's conference
Not only Czech but also international experts will appear at the conference "The Future of Czech Agriculture", which is part of the supporting program of the Techagro 2018 trade fair. One of them will be René Castro Salazar from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Post-harvest technologies at TECHAGRO
TECHAGRO 2018 is more focused on plant production than in previous years. That is why post-harvest technologies sector will be significantly represented, as well as sprinklers and other plants for plant protection and nutrition. Visitors will find the post-harvest technologies in Hall A1.
Smart threshers and silver medallists from Hannover at the TECHAGRO trade fair
New Holland Agriculture brand display by the company AGROTEC a.s. this year will be styled in the spirit of the motto "Smart&Easy" referring to easy life with smart systems. Smart&Easy features can be found in all areas ranging from tractors for plant and livestock production to special tractors in winemaking and construction machinery.
